They may even picket the shows on the day. It has NOT stopped the FANS and it has most certainly NOT stopped us. Every single person coming down to the shows, we are truly grateful for your support and for standing in what we believe in, Artistic Freedom. It was never about religion for us, it was always about artistic freedom. Witchfest 2016 – R.I.P

Witchfest 2016 – R.I.P

It is with great sadness we have to inform you that WITCHFEST 2016 has been postponed indefinitely. Due to low ticket pre-sales, we were unable to secure the necessary finance needed to make it happen. Being a festival with no sponsors, pre-sales are our investors security and necessary evil of the industry.
Witchdoctor Productions CEO Shaughn Pieterse ” It has become a gamble that is not worth taking a second time, especially when the ticket sales dont back you up. Sacrificing the festival until the time is right will allow us to continue delivering tours. In the end there will be a show and who knows what the future for Witchfest will be.”

With this said we will still be hosting the Saturday 26th March with BEHEMOTH at Bassline. Joining them for the Johannesburg show will be 3 of the International Witchfest bands: Voltumna (Italy), Puvlis Et Umbra (Italy) and Diskord (Norway). We have also added a Cape Town show on the 27th at The Assembly along with Book signings at each event.
